Children's Church

Proverbs 22:6 tells us to “Teach your children to choose the right path, and when they are older, they will remain upon it.” Childhood is the most impressionable time in a person’s life. Because of this, we feel it’s important to provide another way to minister to our children and that’s through Children’s Church. It’s an opportunity for kids to grow in their faith and knowledge of Christ while having fun with kids their own age.

Children’s Church is an opportunity for children from pre-school through 5th grade to participate in a learning time tailored for them during the service. Children are dismissed during the offertory and spend the rest of the service interacting with each other and the lesson all the while learning about the love of God and all He has to offer us. By no means is this program a substitute for Sunday School-we encourage families to make Sunday School a priority with Children’s Church being an additional program to further enrich the lives of our young ones.

We are ALWAYS in need of volunteers for our program. We feel it’s fair to ask you, the parents, to help us out by either signing up to provide the snack for the program one Sunday or by volunteering to teach one Sunday. It’s a simple way to get involved in one of the ministries of the church and what is more fulfilling than showing little ones the love of Christ? After all, Jesus does say in Matthew 9:37 “The harvest is so great, but the workers are so few.“ To sign up please see the calendar in the Narthex or speak with Pastor Hicks.
