Missions
& Outreach
"The model for our mission is the ministry of our
Lord Jesus Himself. Jesus calls and empowers us by His Spirit
to be witnesses in Jerusalem (locally), Judea and Samaria
(nationally) and to the ends of the earth (beyond our nation)."
Acts 1:8
The
church supports a number of missionaries both in the States
and Internationally. As a committee, it is important to us
to make our relationships with the missionaries personal and
meaningful, keep them lifted up in prayer, and keep the church
updated on what is going on in their lives and ministry. We
do this through making the missionaries latest prayer letters
available, writing about them in the monthly newsletter, and
of course hosting visiting missionaries whenever possible,
providing opportunities for the church to get to know them.

American Mission, The Pilgrim Fellowship, OMF International,
Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, SIM Cambodian Ministries

Countries Represented: United States,
Zambia, Costa Rica, Bolivia, Spain, the Ukraine.
Locally,
we assist the church with involvement in local ministries,
such as Hopeline and Habitat for Humanity. Most recently,
our church family was a part of ShareFest, where area churches
in Danbury contributed time, food, and efforts to cleaning
up Danbury Housing projects.
We also have a special connection with
New York’s Green Chimneys, a place for students who
have educational and emotional needs. Each year at Easter
and Christmas, we go there and provide a party and gifts to
the students who will not be going home to visit their families.
