Our Easter Cantata entitled  "Jesus, the heart of God", will be March 28th at both our 9:00 am and 11:00 am services.  Palms will be given out to everyone. 

Praise Team

Psalm 100 verse 1-3 reads “Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORE is God. (NIV)

Our Praise Team Ministry is dedicated to worshipping the Lord through song and exhortation in hopes that we may help lead the congregation into HIS presence with thanksgiving in our hearts. Through prayer we ask for the Holy Spirit’s wisdom in choosing a selection of worship songs, primarily contemporary, that will provide both up-beat and reflective moods at our Wednesday Evening Worship and the Sunday Morning Contemporary Service.

Voices of Joy Choir

The Voices of Joy Choir is the senior choir at New Life Community Church United Methodist.  Under the direction of Doris Sanders the VOJ support Sunday services with anthems and worship music.  VOJ also presents three annual events during the year. 

During the Christmas and Easter seasons VOJ present cantata services.  These music driven messages are a mixture of singing , dancing and acting that tell the story of Christ’s birth during Christmas and his sacrifice and resurrection during Easter.  VOJ also presents a summer concert highlighting the many selections that can be heard during the previous year. 

The Voices of Joy are active both in and out of the NLCC.  They have participated in the annual Rejoice With Voice concerts as well as community events in and around the town of New Fairfield.

Choir Director - Doris Sanders

Doris joined the church staff in November, 2004. In addition to her duties as Choir Director, Doris mentors high school students with Autism.

Prior to coming to NLCC Doris traveled around the country ministering in music. After many years of studying music and voice God has opened the door for Doris to use that training and gift to and fulfill a dream to help others experience the joy of singing praises to God.

Doris is married with three grown sons and three fabulous grandchildren.

Doris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education has studied voice for over 20 years and continues to take voice lessons at every opportunity.

Youth Praise Team

The Youth Praise Team leads praise and worship during Sunday services at 9am and 11am.  Under the leadership of Mensah Robinson it’s members are all high school students from NLCC.  If you are a teen and wish to join YPT contact Mensah Robinson through the church.
