New Year’s Resolve

Pastor Chris Yount shares this week’s message entitled: “New Year’s Resolve” which is based on John 3:1-21.

We often make New Year’s Resolution where we give up something or take on a new habit to make us a better person. Sometimes these resolutions stick, oftentimes they don't. Instead of New Years Resolution, why not a "New Year’s Resolve" to press in closer to God than we ever had before? Interesting, right?

    Nobody’s Perfcect!
Pastor Chris Yount begins his Advent Series called, "Whose Birthday is it Anyway?" and shares this week’s message entitled: “Nobody’s Perfcect!” which is based on Luke 1:26-38.
When the angel came to Mary to inform her that she would give birth to the Christ Child, this young lady was overwhelmed and felt inadequate. How could she, just a regular girl, handle the responsibility of raising the Messiah? The reality is that in her own strength she couldn't, but the good news for Mary and for us is that we are not alone, God is with us.

We all, every one of us, have reservations about God, those things that keep him at a "comfortable distance". "Comfortable maybe, but what are we missing out on? What insights, what answers, what healing, what blessing are untapped? How do I (and you) more firmly establish a more loving relationship with God, or He with us? You may be surprised.
