Our Beliefs

What We Believe
We believe that the Bible (all 66 books in its entirety) is the inspired word of God and it is authoritative, inerrant in the original writings, useful for teaching and instruction in living a life of faith and righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
We believe that God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are one; fully and equally God and of the same substance.  1 John 5:7; 1 John 2:22-23;John 14:10; Matthew 28:19;John 14:26;2 John 9;2 Corinthians 13:14;John 10:30
We believe that Jesus is the word that became flesh and existed with God from the beginning, and He died for the sins of the world.  It is because of and only through Jesus that men and women can be reconciled to God.  John 1:1-2;Romans 5:8;2 Cor 5:15;2 Cor 5:18-19;1 Corinthians 15:3
We believe that Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary, and is the only begotten Son of God, both fully human and fully God without sin, and that He died and rose from the dead on the third day and is sitting at the right hand of God the Father making intercession for us.  John 3:16;Hebrews 7:25;Hebrews 10:12;1 Corinthians 15:4
We believe that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forevermore and His healing power through His name and Spirit is still active today.  Hebrews 13:8;1 Peter 2:24
We believe in the physical resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ and His personal return to redeem His Bride (the Church). 1 Corinthians 15:23;Titus 2:13-14
We believe that the Holy Spirit draws men and women to Jesus and re-creates their unregenerate spirit so that they can be born again through their repentance of sins and confessing a belief in Jesus the Christ. Romans 10:9-10;John 3:3;Ephesians 2:8-10;John 6:44
We believe that every believer is indwelled with the Holy Spirit at the New Birth (confession of faith in Jesus) as recorded in John 3:3.  The Holy Spirit continues to manifest Himself in many ways with the gifts and fruit of the spirit as evidence of a changed life.
We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for all times and still exist today in accordance with 1 Corinthians 12:4-11.
We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and are therefore in need of salvation according to Romans 3:23
We believe that we serve a loving and forgiving God who is faithful and just to forgive us when we confess our sins, and will cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  1 John 1:9
We believe that God dwells in the midst of our praise, and worship is vital to our relationship with God.  Psalm 22:3;Matthew 18:20;John 4:23-24
We believe that God hears and answers prayer and we should pray continually expecting God to hear and answer as we pray to the Father in Jesus Name. 1 John 5:14-15
We believe that the Church is the spiritual body of which Christ is the head and that it includes all who have been born again. Its mission is to offer acceptable worship to God and to serve Him faithfully by fulfilling the Great Commission in spreading the Gospel and making disciples of all nations. The sacraments of the Church established by Jesus the Christ are baptism and the Lord’s Supper
